Who YOU elect Matters ~ From Mayor to the Highest Elected Office, Matters – Character and Integrity Matter As Well
But when I came across this e-mail between the Argyle City Manager and the Argyle Mayor Matt Smith it just made me sad. Sad for my local community, sad for my state and sad for my country. Sad that in the last election only 495 citizens voted and 254 voted for Matt Smith a man with an extensive rap sheet which included kiddnapping.
I have been reporting on the extensive criminal record of the current Mayor of Argyle, Tx- Matt Smith and it amazes me that a man with this kind of a record was elected to be the leader of our town. A man who because of his record is not even allowed on the public school campuses. Based on a a record that includes multiple criminal arrests and convictions of deadly conduct, assault/bodily injury, family violence, criminal mischief, theft, DWI, and revoked probation’s how did this happen.
My question is….
How did Matt Smith preform as an elected official and who were the people around him who partnered with him as the Mayor of Argyle? One thing I have learned in politics, once someone has a taste of power they d0 not give it up easily.
Here is what we know. Matt Smith has two women who have file sexual harassment complaints against him. ~http://www.dentonrc.com/
I will be following this race closely and I hope you will follow it as well and if you live in the town of Argyle will take this next election seriously.
As my friend Kenard’s favorite quote says…. When the grass is cut the snakes will show. I think we need to call in the citizens of Argyle to do some yard work.
