We are having an effect~ Bud Kennedy did a Hit Piece on the Grassroots

Well you know you are hitting the mark and making a difference when the liberal media does a hit piece on you. Today Bud Kennedy wrote a piece about the Texas Speaker Showdown between -described in his words-….

Conservative Responsibility in TexasJoe Straus ~” an old-line Republican from a blueblood Alamo Heights family and a proud supporter of the Bush family, 2012 presidential candidate Mitt Romney and U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison.

and

David Simpson ~ “Rep. David Simpson of Longview, a Ron Paul libertarian-Republican and a Reformed Baptist seminary graduate, former church pastoral assistant and owner of a denominational publishing house.” Watch the video below and tell me if Rep. David Simpson is a so called crazy “Paulbot”. Which is what Bud Kennedy is trying to pin on him.

I see a man who is an honest Constitutional Conservative.

The above description is very interesting to me.
First let’s talk about this narrative Bud is working hard to push out.

The Moderates are going to save this country. Really Bud?

Bush was leader of the big spending Republican Establishment, Mitt Romney lost to Obama and Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison recently tried to push through an alternate amnesty bill to the dream act. All can be classified as moderates.
Now let’s talk about how we are going to save our state and our country. I worn you it is not going to be by electing moderates. It is going to be with hard work from you and me. Texans who are willing to get educated on the issues and not be afraid to stand tall even when it is not easy and even when we are being attacked by the media and the ruling class political establishment. (Actually that just emboldens me)
Let’s talk about what happened on the national level with the Presidential race.
Just a little insight from on the ground in America during the Presidential election.
Texas National DelegatesThrough out the primary the battle on the ground was at the state caucus level. At every turn Romney stole the caucus from candidates like Rick Santorum by cutting deals with Ron Paul to eliminate Santorum who represented Conservatives. Then Romney had to eliminate the threat of Paul’s caucus ground game which put in place a large number of National Delegates. By the way the Ron Paul strategy is what Reagan did to get elected.  Next Romney tried to eliminate the Ron Paul folks with a committee rule change so that the presumptive nominee could pick which state delegates voted.

The Conservatives and Ron Paul folks fought back and stopped through a compromise of another rule change which caused a floor fight and the Romney folks basically just did not follow the Roberts Rules of Order and ran the show. That is exactly what it was, a lights camera action show for the viewing audience at home. Those of us who were there knew what happened. The GOP told the Conservatives and Ron Paul folks we are the powerful and we don’t need you.

The result was Romney basically lost the base of the Republican Party which is what caused him to lose the election.

I had a great kid say to me. We are doomed.

Obama said to the American people ‘You DIDN’T BUILD THAT” and Romney told the Republican base “YOU DIDN’T BUILD THAT”.

Now how does that pertain to where we are at in Texas. We have a ruling class establishment that is telling their constituents we know best and your voice does not matter.

The people are fighting back and the Opposition to Joe Straus is Growing and Some Republicans are Caught~

As our friend over at AgendaWise.com Weston Hicks states…. “The conservative movement in Texas is alive and well.”

The question is are all Conservatives ready and willing to fight the good fight to save Texas from the “Moderate Establishment” that is working hard to keep the status quo and take Texas down the road the rest of the country is heading? Weston goes on to say…

The speaker’s race is a principle manifestation of what makes Texas the fourth state not relegated to Obama’s America. For many reasons, the speaker race is stronger, and more necessary, than it was last session.

For one thing, Speaker Straus said long ago he wanted to be speaker for only three sessions. The next one would be his third. This means that he would spend zero political capital if he became so unpopular that he can’t be re-elected speaker next time. He has “yep, my three sessions are up” to fall back on. This will make him bold.

In short, a third Straus term would have the same dynamic as Obama’s scary second term, because Straus doesn’t have to be political anymore. Conservatives beware.

Next, Straus has removed cover for conservatives to vote for him. Remember the last speaker race? He danced his heart out to the fiscal and social conservative tune. Now Straus has turned the music off.

Straus is opposing the Governor and Lt. Governor on the issue of the Texas Budget Compact. Straus campaigned for new revenues without lifting a finger to find efficiency or waste in government. He’s gone public as a fiscal moderate.

Straus is also rumored to be telling social conservatives to save ink by not submitting any bills to make Texas less dangerous for its unborn. According to the Texas Tribune, Straus strongly implied this session’s important abortion legislation – the fetal pain bill – isn’t a priority. He’s gone public as a social moderate.

These things make a Straus vote even less defensible in-district. He has raised the price for House conservatives to vote for him.

But, as a matter of fact, the House isn’t the same as last time. It is better. Straus dynamics aside, the House has many more conviction conservatives. This makes the speaker race stronger this time.

Finally, if transparency and accountability are good things, running a speaker race, regardless of the outcome, is excellent for the state of Texas.

This is because normal order in politics is to have a small band of unapologetic bad guys in the legislature, a small band of unapologetic good guys in the legislature, and a huge ambiguous middle who are relatively unsorted.

The speaker’s race changes all of that. It basically provides Texans rankings for the entire House. Who has guts, and did they have it early, middle, or late?

And anyway, the original conservative movement took 30 years to win on the national level.

The reinvigorated Texas conservative movement will take nowhere near as long, but must possess the patience and resolve the original movement had, if it is to provide strength to America.

This type of resolve creates an Obi-Wan Kenobi effect. A battle loss is a win, because it serves to inform average citizens of what kind of reinforcements are needed. Losses become movement accounting and team-building.

Without bold, consistent moves like these, the movement operates in the dark.

Tired and cowardly conservatives who are out talking down the speaker’s race know not the forces they are playing with.

If they were to crush the speaker race, as they have already failed at doing, they would sink Texas squarely into Obama’s hopeless America with 46 other states. It would be left to three states, and none of them mighty Texas, to reignite hope for Americans who love America as founded.

It is our responsibility to cultivate the flame, not to lay down arms and walk willingly into Obama’s America.

Every conservative politician and activist first got involved to fix the system. The argument against the speaker race boils down to “leave the system alone”.

This isn’t good enough. Conservatives with a fighting spirit are ready for battle, and will benefit from their boldness. Conservatives who can’t stomach the fight should step aside for someone who understands where we are in time, and what is needed.

Bud Kennedy continues on to say that WomenOnTheWall.org who is hosting the Speaker Showdown II in Austin is just trying to make money. The truth is we are not like the Soros funded left. We have to fight our own fights and pay our own way because we don’t have an agenda to get certain legislation passed and therefore don’t have to play nice with the ruling class in case they win. Our agenda is saving Texas. In order to put on an event, get Pat Caddell down to Texas, pay for the venue and train activist to follow their elected official in order to hold them accountable it costs money. That is why we are charging for the Dinner with Pat Caddell. Bud forgot to include in his article that the staging area, social media command center and advocacy training is all Free to the public. He may want to come by actually  take a class and learn something, instead of helping the establishment drive a narrative. We are like David Simpson and are willing to work with anyone who is willing to be honest, put the issues on the table and have a good debate. That is the Texas way.  Character and honesty matters and Straus has proved time and again those are not his strong suits.

If you are ready to take a stand call your State Representative today  Here is a list of them. Tell them to vote for the most Conservative Candidate in the Race for Speaker; David Simpson and then join us in Austin Jan. 7th and 8th.

WE,the voters are the ones that aren’t revelent. The election of 2012 was stolen by voter fraud as was the election of 2008. THIS presidency,IMHO,was another backroom deal that was done on 8-4-1961! I remember the news then!!!
