Texas Gets An Early Gift From Santa

Apparently, Texas taxpayers have been very good boys and girls this year! Santa has checked his list twice and found us to be very nice indeed!  Today he will  bestow on us a very special gift: an opponent to run against Joe Straus!

Texans meet Matt BeeBe.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas, December 9, 2011 – Matt Beebe (pronounced BEE-bee) will officially announce his candidacy for Texas State House Representative in District 121 in the GOP primary at a press conference on Monday, December 12, 2011. The event will be held at 12 noon at The Quarry Golf Club, 444 East Basse Road, San Antonio, Texas 78209.

Beebe will face-off against Texas House Speaker Joe Straus on Tuesday, March 6, 2012.

“It’s time that the constituents of House District 121 had a true conservative represent them in Austin,” said Beebe, 38, who founded Digitactics, Inc., a small business that was recently named by the San Antonio Business Journal as one of the top ten “Largest San Antonio Computer Service & Repair Firms.”

In addition to providing jobs for 13 employees, Digitactics is a leader in developing and implementing cyber defense, cyber security, digital forensics and IT networking solutions for small and mid-sized businesses and various government customers.

A graduate of Michigan Technical University with a B.S. in Business Administration, Beebe served his country in the Air Force as a Communications Officer and helped to develop innovative solutions and lay a foundation for enhanced cyber defense while a Countermeasures Engineer at the Air Force Information Warfare Center at Kelly AFB.

He has been married to his wife Nicole for 16 years with whom he’s adopted their two children –
Hannah, 5, and Joshua, 3. In addition to home educating their children with his bride, Beebe is a
member and regularly attends the Alamo Heights United Methodist Church where he has served on the Administrative Board, Board of Stewards and as a Sunday School teacher for the Foundations young couples class. They generously support other area non-profits directly and through their business. “As a small business owner, I understand well the challenges of this tough economy. We are not only taxed too much, but the reality is that the Texas Legislature spends too much,” said Beebe. “I’m  committed to reducing the burden of government on the families of House District 121, and, like I’ve done in the private sector, finding innovative solutions to enable Texas to meet the challenges of the future.”

Over the next several weeks, Matt Beebe will outline his vision at his campaign website:
