Demand that Tea Party Nation Retract their Open Letter to Tea Party Members

Date posted: January 28, 2012

Please see the open letter Tea Party Nation just e-mail to their large e-mail list!!  This is ridiculous.
I would like to ask Senator Santorum to publicly call Tea Party Nation to task on my behalf for trying to sway voters against voting for him. This is  cheap trick politics.  As a Texas Nationwide Tea Party Coalition Leader I am completely offended!! If you are as offended as I am please sign the petition linked below!! Game On!

This is like tactics the Gingrich campaign used in South Carolina  and I will not be silent and allow this to happen in Florida.

Please see this article to see what happened in South Carolina. Rick Santorum – “It’s the “forcefulness,” stupid!
Thank you!

An Open Letter to Rick Santorum Supporters in Florida

Rick Santorum supporters have a difficult but important choice to make in the next few days as the Florida primary comes up on Tuesday.
Rick Santorum has left Florida.  He knows he cannot win Florida.  Florida is the first of the Winner take all states.  In other words, Florida is crucial.
Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich are running neck and neck in Florida. By all accounts this race is going to be very close.
The Santorum voters can make the difference.
The Republican establishment is working overtime to make Mitt Romney the nominee.  While those of us who support Newt and those who support Rick Santorum may disagree about who is the best candidate, we all agree Mitt Romney is not the candidate.  He is a liberal who probably cannot defeat Obama this fall and even if he does, will govern much as Obama did.
If Romney wins Florida, he will be ordained as the Republican nominee and both Gingrich and Santorum will have a very hard time stopping him.
If you are a Rick Santorum supporter, it is time to think strategically. If Romney wins, the race is over for Santorum.  If Newt wins, he may or may not be able to continue, but that that is a different story.
If you vote for Rick Santorum in the Florida primary, you are splitting the vote with Newt.  Splitting the vote with Newt will guarantee a Romney win.
That we all agree must not happen.
If you support Rick Santorum, use your vote to help stop Mitt Romney in Florida.  Whether you agree or disagree with Newt Gingrich, he is close enough to stop Romney with your help.
If you are a Floridian who supports Rick Santorum, I strongly urge you to vote for Newt Gingrich in the Florida Primary. If you know someone who lives in Florida, please urge them to vote for Newt Gingrich.
Let’s stop Romney and keep a liberal from becoming the Republican nominee.

“Athens, A Call for Religious Freedom!”

Date posted: January 12, 2012

Ray Myers, Coordinator
Kaufman County Tea Party

On December 17, 2011 the forces who seek to destroy our religious freedom was sent a message.

Our call-to-action was answered beyond our dreams. The atheist organization from Wisconsin, “The Freedom From Religion Form” filed a complaint to remove the nativity scene from the Courthouse square in Athens, Texas

Over five thousand God and country-loving patriots went to Athens to tell the world, “It is our nativity and you cannot take it!”

Athen’s Texas December 17th, 2011

We must not let the excitement die down. Whether you came to Athens or not, we have set into motion the foundation of a plan to stop those who would steal our religion, our liberty, and our country. The challenge is before us and if we will get to work planning, organizing, and expanding our network, victory will be ours.
Let us not forget that our forefathers knew that we were not fighting for America’s freedom alone—See the words of Patrick Henry concerning God and the nation:
Patrick Henry had more than knowledge of history. Patrick Henry knew their victory was guaranteed not only by the lamp of experience, but also because they served a “just God who presides over the destinies of nations” and when standing for Liberty, a gift from God, they could not fail.
He declared, “We are three millions of people, armed in the holy cause of liberty, and in such a country as that which we possess, are invincible by any force which our enemy can send against us. Besides, sir, we shall not fight our battles alone. There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations; and who will raise up friends to fight our battles for us.”
Friends, here is our mission!
Each and every grassroots Texan should contact their minister. Challenge him or her to join together and end these attacks. Let’s unite the grassroots Tea Party Texans with churches across the state and nation, and win for God and country. With what I saw in Athens on the 17th, this goal is highly achievable.
Pastor Marty Reid of the Trinity Family Church in Forney, and I met and discussed the alliance between about thirty pastors, including Pastor Reid. The purpose was to join together and inform the IRS that the churches represented by the pastors involved, were going to practice their First Amendment right to free speech from the pulpit, by discussing issues that affect all Americans, including politics. This was intended to be a direct challenge to the Johnson Amendment, passed in 1954 and sponsored by then-Senator Lyndon Johnson, prohibiting churches from engaging in any political campaign activity. This restriction has denied pastors the freedom of speech that is guaranteed to all citizens. The Alliance Defense Fund has offered to defend the pastors if the IRS chooses to respond to their challenge. See the link to the Alliance Defense Fund. It will answer many questions concerning the Church and our political challenge.

Thank God that we have ministers who are willing to put it on the line for our freedoms and liberties. It is long overdue that we drew a line in the sand and said, “Enough!” I am told that this alliance of ministers and pastors has grown from approximately 30 to over 500. The timing and success of the event in Athens should signify that our grassroots tea parties and church communities should join forces to save our country and our religious freedoms. The church community and the grassroots community have enough common ground to achieve this goal.
I have personally ask Pastor Reid to contact ministers all over Kaufman County, asking them to meet with me. The purpose will be to encourage them join with us. Together we will construct a united front for God and country. These individuals will be encouraged to pledge to aid the Tea Party in taking our communities, religion, and country back from those who want us to surrender all. Shortly after this initial meeting I will send out an email request that we all come together on February 18. Leaders from across the state—stand by. We will see how this goes, however begin to contact your ministers now.
Tea Party Texans– this is a winning strategy– let’s get to work.
If you are interested—please start contacting ministers of all faiths in your area. This project is not limited to Kaufman County. Anyone who loves America and freedom is invited to take part.
In closing, Christmas Day has past and we have now begun 2012 and I invite you to think about one of the greatest writers of all time, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. He had just gone through one of the bleakest periods of his life. He had lost his beloved wife in 1861 and his son had been severely wounded in the Civil War. On Christmas Day in 1865 he penned the words to the famous carol, “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day.”
“Henry awoke from his despair and realized that God is not dead and is still the Giver of peace and hope. He knew that God promises victory to those who trust in Christ and will stand for God’s gifts. He was able to express that hope in the phrase, “God is not dead; nor does he sleep! The Wrong shall fail; the Right prevails, With peace on earth, good-will to men!” That same promise belongs to us, the greatest nation this world has ever known. We simply must place our trust in the right place.”
God has given us, “Our America.” Together we must unite to save her.
Our target date for the steering committee to meet in Kaufman County is January 24. The date for the general meeting when we want all to attend is February 18. We will be organizing and looking to that date.
In this year—it is our duty,  “ to take back America!”

Geithner-Obama Downgrade

Date posted: August 8, 2011

Great analysis from THE FINNIAN LAD  Joe Shehan

John Kerry

The talking points have gone out, and the DNC are on the attack. Fearing that they will see even further blow back from S&P’s decision to downgrade America’s credit rating (first time in American history), the DNC has now instructed their people to begin calling the down grade the “Tea Party Downgrade”. This is evidenced in the White House, Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) and others using the same verbiage over the weekend to try to put the onus squarely on the Tea Party and their representatives in Congress. This blind accusation forgets the role the DNC played in the whole debt ceiling debate, and completely ignores that the only party to actually put forth multiple plans that would have satisfied the credit rating bureaus’ anxieties was the GOP and the Tea Party members within the GOP.

David Axelrod - Democratic Strategist

David Axelrod - Democratic Strategist

Three times the GOP sought to ease America’s debt through legislation in the House, but every time those solutions were met with veto threats from the White House, and procedural cowardice in the Senate. First, after the Senate overwhelmingly voted down President Obama’s budget 97-0, the GOP and Tea Party controlled House passed a budget that would have cut spending by $6T, but such a budget never received a vote in the Democrat controlled Senate. Second, the GOP and Tea Party controlled House passed the “Cut, Cap and Balance” bill, which would have satisfied the credit bureaus’ requests while also cutting the budget by $4T and requiring a balanced budget amendment; however, President Obama threatened a veto, and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) tabled the measure, thus, not allowing a vote. As a result, we were lead to the drama of the last few weeks where one negotiation after another failed, because President Obama at first refused to negotiate, then joined the negotiations only to back out of his own deal, and then forced the final attempt at trying to prevent default and downgrade. This final attempt led to a bill that neither party could really stomach, but had to be passed or the Untied States faced assured default and downgrade.

During this last year the President has been absent, or at least aloof, when it has come to the important decisions this country had to make. In 2010, the American people rejected President Obama’s policies, and his response was that he did not do a good enough job articulating his message. This administration has demonstrated that it has no understanding of reality. During the debt ceiling debate, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner proclaimed that the United States’ credit was never going to be downgraded. If this was the message that the White House was giving to its people, and the Democrats in Congress, it is no wonder they felt they could resist the GOP and Tea Party with impunity. However, Secretary Geithner, and the President took a huge gamble with America’s future by making such proclamations, and if they truly believed it, then everyone should question both Secretary Geithner’s and President Obama’s judgment when it comes to making important decisions regarding the economy.

As such, this downgrade should not be labeled the “Tea Party Downgrade”, since the Tea Partiers seem to be the only people in Washington who took the S&P and other credit bureaus at their word, but the blame (if it should be pointed at anyone) should rest squarely on the shoulders of those who should have known better. Therefore, it should be known as the “Geihtner-Obama Downgrade”, since it was their reassurance to members of the media and the members of their own party that led to the arrogance demonstrated by those in the DNC and the left who did not accept what needed to be done to prevent the downgrade.

“INDEPENDENCE” A CONCEPT FROM AN AMERICAN WOMAN’S PERSPECTIVE

Date posted: July 4, 2011

Danna Reubin - Mamma Bear

On July 4th of each year we celebrate Independence Day. For many of us – moms, daughters, sisters, aunts, cousins, grandmothers – the day is filled with family BBQ’s, picnics, the raising of Old Glory, and evening festivities of fireworks, music and laughter. Since arriving in this country in 1983 – and more so since earning my citizenship – Independence Day has become my favorite holiday of the year. The very idea of Independence strikes a chord in a first generation immigrant. It is the goal realized as the reason for our travels to this land. In America, women are fortunate to have the same level of “independence” granted to men, unlike in many countries around the world. I recently looked up the word “independence” in Webster’s and found these three definitions:
1. Not subject to the control of others
2. Not requiring or relying on another person or thing
3. Not looking to one for other’s opinions, and guidance in conduct

Then came the epiphany. These three things are at the very core of the Tea Party movement.

Women in America have always fought for independence. We played key roles in every step of American history. We won universal suffrage. We have fought hard to work and are now paid an equal wage for equal labor and talent. At the same time, we still maintain the option to stay at home raising a family or even a combination of career and motherhood. When feminists cast their lot with American Progressives, little did they realize that – rather than gaining true independence – they would be trading one master for another. Instead of being told what to do by a husband, they are now being told what to do by Big Mommy, the Nanny State.

Through the Tea Party movement, we stand as a coalition of citizens who realize our Federal Government has strayed so far from these foundations of independence that they have almost flipped the equation from a Government made up of the people to a Nation consisting of a citizenry of dependents. Today, if our Representatives in DC think they know the truth about a matter of practical importance, they enlist the power of the State to force all citizens to conform to their ideas. As we are all so painfully aware, those new regulations ultimately result in obligations for one segment of the population while another segment receives unwarranted benefits. Since creating rights for one class of people conversely creates obligations for another class, we are no longer advocating “independence” as the word is classically defined. Now, we are fast approaching an Orwellian era of Newspeak where a word which used to mean one thing is redefined by Government to mean just the opposite.

Let’s take a look at the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution. The rights defined by these documents are generally rights to non-interference by society. We profess to believe in Rights to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. The Bill of Rights guarantees free exercise of religion, speech, press, assembly, petition, the security of persons and property against searches and seizure. Later Amendments define the abolition of slavery and the right of all citizens to vote. All our treasured American Rights and Freedoms are recognitions of our natural individual freedom of action, the exercise of which we were meant to enjoy without the intrusion of an almighty Government.

Now, suppose for a moment there was a claim mounted against the Government for not providing medical insurance for those who cannot afford it. Does this violate any of our basic rights to non-interference? Some may feel it is beneficial for Government to provide such a service or that society is morally obligated to do so. The fact is – however – that a failure to provide this “service” does not restrict a citizen’s right to be left alone. Furthermore, since all Government programs are financed through a mandatory confiscation of a portion of its citizenry’s money, the complaint is really a claim to the resources of one’s neighbors in order to pay for the service of medical insurance, a service for which the recipient pays nothing. Well, nothing but the loss of freedom – his and everyone else’s. Emmanuel Kant said it well, “Treat each man as an end in itself and never as a means.”

Our children – before they are even born – are saddled with debt. The freedoms their forebears enjoyed have been eroded to mere shadows of what they once were. One average income used to be sufficient to support a family, now two are barely enough, even before the Government puts its greedy hands in our pockets. Our schools no longer provide our children with adequate education but they do tell parents how to feed their children while interfering in their moral upbringing.

Danna Reubin - Grassroots Activist, Mamma Bear

What Big Government Liberals did not count on is the fact that equality has placed women on the front lines of this new American Revolution. Whereas the Minutemen were men, today’s revolutionaries are often led by moms who are horrified at the future their children face. We are the ones who see what tomorrow is bringing our way and we don’t like it.

Independence is no longer a privilege of being American. It is once again something to fight for. Both men and woman are fighting for freedom for today. We are determined to make sure that fight is won for our children and grandchildren.

We are the league of mama bears. Hear us roar!
