5 Minutes can Impact a Lifetime for Countless Kids~ “STUCK”

Step Forward for Orphans March

“I took 5 Minutes, the question is… Will YOU? Then I hope to see you in Washington DC!” ~ Alice Linahan (WomenOnTheWall.org)

The words of Craig Juntunen ~ “Stop for one minute, consider how 5 minutes of your life can impact a lifetime for countless kids” ~

Founder;  Both Ends Burning Campaign

“ADOPTION SERVES AS A CHAMPION FOR HUMAN POTENTIAL”
Who is Craig Juntunen?
Craig Juntunen
Craig JuntunenCraig Juntunen is the founder and president of the Both Ends Burning Campaign. A child welfare advocate and a passionate believer in international adoption, Juntunen is the author of Both Ends Burning: My Story of Adopting Three Children from Haiti. Juntunen leads the campaign’s effort to build a social movement to enact real and lasting change for the world’s orphaned and abandoned children. In his early life, Juntunen was involved heavily in athletics, playing quarterback for a total of 14 seasons. He finished his athletic career as a quarterback in the Canadian Football League. He was elected into the State of Idaho Athletic Hall of Fame and the University of Idaho Hall of Fame. His experience as a leader on the football field led to his developing into an entrepreneur. He built and sold a company with a very successful track record and temporarily retired. His experience as a quarterback and as an entrepreneur blended together to form philanthropic passions. He has been involved in many charitable giving efforts, and until recently, his most notable achievement was launching the Chances for Children foundation, which supports villages in Haiti and has placed more than 100 children in adoptive families in the last three years.
Well now that you know about Craig Juntunen you need to know…. the rest of the story! STUCK~

STUCK is a new award-winning documentary film, produced by Both Ends Burning that uncovers the personal, real-life stories of children and parents navigating a roller-coaster of bureaucracy on their journeys through the international adoption system, each filled with hope, elation – and sometimes heartbreak.”

Left Right Left Right Forward March!

I became aware of this project through my friend Foster Friess whose new initiative  LeftRightLeftRightForwardMarch! is a major supporter of “STUCK”

What I love about   LeftRightLeftRightForwardMarch! is the objective is about finding common ground between the Left and the Right with the intention of bringing attention to ideas on which both sides agree. To me it is like Pat Caddell says…. “I am not a Democrat or a Republican I am an AMERICAN!”

As I have said many times when speaking across this country…. “We are not going to elect someone to safe us, we must save ourselves and the only way to do that is to get education on the issues and find solutions.

So let’s talk solutions.

#1 Sign this petition

Petitioning The President of the United States

The Step Forward for Orphans March in Washington, D.C. on May 17th is just 10 days away and we need your help NOW! Now is the time for you to Impact Countless children for a lifetime as Craig says… Go to http://www.bothendsburning.org/, click on sign the petition, sign it and then tell your 10 closest friends and family members to do the same thing.  If each volunteer (over 800) and each person who has seen the film (over 7,000) did this, we would have another 390,000 signatures. The laws currently in place are not in the best interests of these children. The red tape and bureaucracy in place is shutting off international adoption for the kids we are fighting for that need a family. The love of a family is very significant to the success of any child’s life. If this was your child, you would do it now and and you would do everything in your power to protect your child. Consider the facts that even if you are not an adoptive family or don’t know anyone who has adopted, these kids are your kid’s friends, classmates, your neighbors children, or your co-workers kids. Surely, the love and concern for those people deserve the 5 minutes out of your day to go on line and sign the petition now!

Obama, Kennedy Catholics and Coddling Islamists~

Date posted: September 24, 2012

Over at FosterFriess.com Joe Lindsley makes some great points in his post Obama Coddles Islamists, Stomps on Catholics. After reading it I was reminded of what Ted Cruz had to say when he spoke at the Conservative Leaders Rally hosted by Rick Santorum and his organization Patriot Voices in Tampa at the RNC National Convention.

Ted Cruz asks…. “What would an  Al Smith or Jack Kennedy say today about a President who says to the Catholic’s of America change your religious beliefs or I will use my power as president to shut down your hospitals.”

 Joe Lindsley points out….

He throws free speech under the bus to appeal to radicals who hate America while he violates the religious freedom of Americans

Photo credit ~ The Kitchen Cabinet Facebook

The Obama administration has made it clear it has little regard for our two foundational American freedoms: freedom of speech and freedom of religion. In a sense sympathizing with the Islamists attacking our embassies, Obama has strongly decried those who dare to criticize the Prophet Mohammad, on the grounds that the United States respects all religions. But has he shown respect toward, say, American Catholics, by ordering that every employer, including Catholics who might have moral or religious objections, must pay for abortion-inducing drugs for their employees? This, more so than a YouTube video, actually affects the lives of Catholics:  They will have to violate their conscience or their church teachings or pay a fine. Muslims are free to ignore, as Salman Rushdie put it, “some stupid YouTube video,” but Catholics can’t ignore the Obama mandate.

So which is a more serious affront to religious freedom? And why is the president willing to throw freedom of speech under the bus to protect the “freedom” of radicals to drag an American ambassador through the streets?

I would just ask again what would Jack Kennedy say of President Obama?

Rick Santorum ~ Football and Building a Pocket of Faith for Romney ~

Date posted: August 8, 2012

By Alice Linahan
Jeremiah 29:11

‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.

And God continues to work daily in America using Rick Santorum,  Football and People of all faiths and backgrounds to fight for Freedom!

Back in March 2011 I wrote an article titled  Rick Santorum stays in the pocket of faith……..

Remember back then……

I described Santorum as living in a pocket of faith. “The visual so clearly defined for me the miracle of where Senator Rick Santorum was a day after  ”defying expectations and stunning pundits across the country, with decisive wins in Oklahoma, Tennessee, North Dakota and almost winning a stunning upset in Ohio despite being outspent 12 to 1.”

The Pocket of Faith~ Think of it as:

The passing pocket  a term used in football to describe the area in the backfield that is created on a passing play where the offensive line forms a wall of protection around the quarterback to protect him. This allows him adequate time to find an open receiver and to pass the ball. The offensive line will drop back slightly, creating a protected area for the quarterback to find an open receiver and get rid of the ball. If he is unable to find an open receiver he will attempt to run the ball himself, throw the ball out of bounds to prevent a sack and/or turnover, or if there is no lane, he would collapse to the ground to protect the ball and try to avoid a fumble.

Rick Santorum continues to play a key role in Gods work in America. Santorum is providing a Pocket of Faith of Patriots for Governor Romney to fill his role as President of the United States.

Rick Santorum, former Republican presidential candidate and Chairman of Patriot Voices, announced today that Patriot Voices will host a “Patriots for Romney” reception at the Republican National Convention.

“We at Patriot Voices look forward to joining with the country’s leading conservative voices to demonstrate our committed support for Mitt Romney. Already, we’ve assembled a tremendous number of co-hosts that are outspoken conservatives on fiscal, social and national security issues,” said Rick Santorum.

The reception will take place Wednesday, August 29th at Liberty Plaza in Tampa.

Patriots for Romney co-hosts include:

  • Rick & Karen Santorum

Courage and Insight~ Rick Santorum has endorsed Mitt Romney for President~ Game On Obama!

Date posted: May 8, 2012

One of the most encouraging and wonderful attributes Rick Santorum has is that he knows his run for President was never about him. It has always been about America and the voices of the people.

I remember the day he stepped away from running I posted……
“Thank you Rick and Karen Santorum; you were my voice. I thank God for what you and your family have given our great country. Faith, Family and Freedom!
Yes Blessings are Truly Abundant!!
Get Ready Obama!! Game On!!” Mission Accomplished!
http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/291838/joe-klein-thanks-rick-santorum-maggie-gallagher

What was that mission; to clearly articulate what makes America exceptional and to get that discussion into the Presidential debate. Faith~ Family and Freedom. In achieving his mission he has also built an army of grassroots volunteers that no other candidate could build to take on Obama. That mission has been accomplished and now it is time to move onto the next. God has another calling for Rick Santorum and he is wise enough to know that he follows God’s plan not his own.

Please contribute to help retire Rick Santorum’s campaign debt

Faith~

               Family~

                                   Freedom~

It is funny I had just sent an email to Rick Santorum and his team yesterday and said….
Rick I just want to say thank you for being my voice. You and your beautiful family are truly a gift to America. History will tell the story of just what a difference you have made in saving our Country.
I am honored that I had a small part in it by supporting you and your campaign.
I believe with all my heart and soul that we all have a role to play for such a time as this. Rick Santorum understands completely that he can be the Servant he has been called to be by allowing Mitt Romney to be what he has been called to be. God’s plan is bigger than any one person. Rick Santorum gets that!!
I now join Rick Santorum, Foster Friess and even my dear friend Lisa Graas and the many other servants I know by endorsing Mitt Romney for President!!
Below is a post I made on Facebook……….
  • It is now time to think outside of the box!! How do we support Rick Santorum in holding Mitt Romney’s feet to the fire when it comes to true Conservatism? We are Rick Santorum’s collateral and his negotiating power!! We are not going to elect any one man to save us, even if it had been Rick Santorum. It is all about saving ourselves, Rick gets that. It is now time to take back our country from the school boards on up to Congress so that we can from the local level hold Mitt Romney’s feet to the fire!!
    I say……GameOn!
Game On Obama!!

Here is the full E-mail I received from Rick Santorum last night.

Alice

Thank you again for all you did as one of my strongest and committed supporters. Your belief in our campaign helped us start a movement of Americans who believe deeply that our best days are ahead as long as we fight to strengthen our families, unshackle our economy and promote freedom here and around the world. Karen and I will be forever grateful for the support, kindness and commitment you showed us, as well as our children, over these last months.

On Friday, Governor Romney came to Pittsburgh for an over-hour long one-on-one meeting. The conversation was candid, collegial and focused on the issues that you helped me give voice to during our campaign; because I believe they are essential ingredients to not only winning this fall, but turning our country around.

While the issue of my endorsement did not come up, I certainly have heard from many of you who have weighed in on whether or not I should issue a formal endorsement. Thank you for your counsel, it has been most helpful. However, I felt that it was completely impossible for me to even consider an endorsement until after a meeting to discuss issues critical to those of us who often feel our voices are not heard by the establishment: social conservatives, tea-party supporters, lower and middle income working families.

Clearly without the overwhelming support from you all, I never would have won 11 states and over 3 million votes, and we would not have won more counties than all the other candidates combined. I can assure you that even though I am no longer a candidate for president, I will still continue to fight every day for our shared values – the values that made America the greatest country in the history of the world.

During our meeting I felt a deep responsibility to assess Governor Romney’s commitment to addressing the issues most important to conservatives, as well his commitment to ensuring our appropriate representation in a Romney administration.

The family and its foundational role in America’s economic success, a central point of our campaign, was discussed at length. I was impressed with the Governor’s deep understanding of this connection and his commitment to economic policies that preserve and strengthen families. He clearly understands that having pro-family initiatives are not only the morally and economically right thing to do, but that the family is the basic building block of our society and must be preserved.

I also shared with Governor Romney my belief that we cannot restore America as the greatest economic engine the world has ever seen until we return America to being a manufacturing superpower. He listened very carefully to my advice on this matter, and while our policy prescriptions differed, he clearly expressed his desire to create more opportunities for those that are feeling left behind in this economy.

As it is often said, “personnel is policy.” I strongly encouraged Governor Romney as he builds out his campaign staff and advisors that he add more conservative leaders as an integral part of his team. And you can be sure that I will work with the Governor to help him in this task to ensure he has a strong team that will support him in his conservative policy initiatives.

Of course we talked about what it would take to win this election. As you know I started almost every speech with the phrase that this was the most important election since the election of 1860 and four more years of President Obama is simply not an option. As I contemplated what further steps I will take, that reality weighed heavy on me. The America we know is being fundamentally changed to look more like a European socialist state than the land of opportunity our founding fathers established.

Freedom and personal responsibility are being replaced with big government dependency. The greatest and most productive workers in the world are being hamstrung by excessive regulations making it impossible to compete. Our healthcare system had been socialized, and the worth of each life dictated by some government bureaucrat. Our allies are insulted while our enemies are appeased. And our religious beliefs and freedom have come under attack.

What is even more troubling is what a second term of an Obama administration could bring. President Obama’s admission to the Russians that he will have more flexibility in a second term can only be translated to “if you thought I was liberal in the first four years you haven’t seen anything yet!”

The primary campaign certainly made it clear that Governor Romney and I have some differences. But there are many significant areas in which we agree: the need for lower taxes, smaller government, and a reduction in out-of-control spending. We certainly agree that abortion is wrong and marriage should be between one man and one woman. I am also comfortable with Governor Romney on foreign policy matters, and we share the belief that we can never allow Iran to possess nuclear weapons. And while I had concerns about Governor Romney making a case as a candidate about fighting against Obamacare, I have no doubt if elected he will work with a Republican Congress to repeal it and replace it with a bottom up, patient, not government, driven system.

Above all else, we both agree that President Obama must be defeated. The task will not be easy. It will require all hands on deck if our nominee is to be victorious. Governor Romney will be that nominee and he has my endorsement and support to win this the most critical election of our lifetime.

My conversation with Governor Romney was very productive, but I intend to keep lines of communication open with him and his campaign. I hope to ensure that the values that made America that shining city on the hill are illuminated brightly by our party and our candidates thus ensuring not just a victory, but a mandate for conservative governance.

Karen and I know firsthand how difficult the campaign trail can be particularly as governor Romney faces relentless attacks from the democrats. We have been praying for him and his family and will continue to do so in the weeks and months ahead.

Thank you again for all you have done for us, and I look forward to working together to defeat President Obama this fall and to protect faith, family, freedom and opportunity in America.

With Gratitude,

Rick Santorum

P.S. As promised, very soon we will be making another big announcement, and I will be asking you to once again join forces with me to keep up the fight, together. Stay tuned.

The Gift of a “Gaff” – Foster Friess gives us an opportunity to look at who is the real “Christian Radical”

Date posted: February 17, 2012

One of the reasons so many love and adore Foster Friess is because he can bring a smile to your face and laughter into politics like no one else can.

Case in point…….

Santorum Backer Foster Friess Tells A Mitt Romney Joke At CPAC

So if we are known by the friends we keep let’s take a look of the speeches of Rick Santorum’s friend and supporter Foster Friess compared to  Obama’s friend and mentor Jeremiah Wright.

Take the time to watch this video of Foster Friess and be inspired.

Here is a sample of what the Senior Pastor Jeremiah Wright who married
Barack and Michelle Obama has to say.

Dennis Prager’s quote has a great quote. “I do not judge a person by their theology, I judge them by their values.”

the·ol·o·gy -noun, plural -gies. 1. the field of study and analysis that treats of God and of God’s attributes and relations to the universe; study of divine things or religious truth; divinity. 2. a particular form, system, branch, or course of this study.

val·ues – “principles, standards,”. the ideals, customs, institutions, etc., of a society toward which the people of the group have an affective regard. These values may be positive, as cleanliness, freedom, or education, or negative, as cruelty, crime, or blasphemy.

What is Obama’s Theology? During the election we were told he was a Christian who belonged to the Trinity United Church of Christ. On the surface he presents himself as a devote Christian. Kind of like the Trinity United Church of Christ website. I guess one has to look at his brand of Christianity. Question what are the values his church promotes? HMMMM let’s take a look.

This is directly from Trinity United Church of Christ’s website. The Black Value System Here.

Here is what I find most disturbing in the values of this Christian Church Obama attended for 20 yrs.

Disavowal of the Pursuit of “Middleclassness.” Classic methodology on control of captives teaches that captors must be able to identify the “talented tenth” of those subjugated, especially those who show promise of providing the kind of leadership that might threaten the captor’s control. Proverbs 3:13-14 – Happy are those who find wisdom and those who gain understanding, for her income is better than silver and her revenue better than gold.

Those so identified are separated from the rest of the people by:

  • Killing them off directly, and/or fostering a social system that encourages them to kill off one another.
  • Placing them in concentration camps, and/or structuring an economic environment that induces captive youth to fill the jails and prisons.
  • Seducing them into a socioeconomic class system which, while training them to earn more dollars, hypnotizes them into believing they are better than others and teaches them to think in terms of “we” and “they” instead of “us.”
  • So, while it is permissible to chase “middleclassness” with all our might, we must avoid the third separation method – the psychological entrapment of Black “middleclassness.” If we avoid this snare, we will also diminish our “voluntary” contributions to methods A and B. And more importantly, Black people no longer will be deprived of their birthright: the leadership, resourcefulness and example of their own talented persons.
And they say Rick Santorum is a Radical. I don’t think so!!

Below is video of Rick Santorum’s remarks before the group of Pastors in Texas:
