Rick Santorum~Ties in Michigan and publicly thanks his 93 yr. old Mom

Date posted: February 29, 2012

We the People ~ VS~ the Pundits

Rick Santorum gives Mitt Romney a run for his money. Yes, it looks like all that money did not buy all the votes. People are actually listening and deciding for themselves ~vs~ buying into the PR and propaganda of the Romney campaign .

In Michigan, the winner in each of the state’s 14 congressional districts gets two delegates, and two more delegates go to the candidate who takes the most votes statewide, making up the total of 30 delegates.

Political analyst Stephen Caliendo says Mitt Romney’s victory in the Republican primary in Michigan was essentially a tie in terms of delegate allotment.”

When former Pennsylvania Senator presidential candidate Rick Santorum addressed his hard working supporters following the Michigan Primary he gave an AWESOME speech  talking about the influence of three strong and amazing women, his mother, his wife and his daughter.

Rick Santorum took the time to publicly thank his 93 yr. old Mother last night in Michigan. I have had the opportunity to meet Rick’s Mom and I can tell you she is one amazing women. Take the time to listen to his whole speech. Not only will you be well informed but you will be inspired to join the Santorum Team moving into Super Tuesday.

The record shows Rinos in Texas- Top 3 most liberal Senators include a Republican

Texas Senator Bob Deuell of District 2 has the distinguished honor of being one of the top 3 most liberal Senators in the state. The challenge is he is says he is a Republican and there are Conservative Republicans who have endorsed him. The “Good Ole Boy” Party in Texas

From Ray Myers; Kaufman County Tea Party.

What is a RINO?  A Democrat that runs as a Republican– better yet– who runs as a Conservative. We have been trying to educate our voters on just who we can trust. Check out this excerpt from the Texas Tribune. This study from the Rice University Political Science Department verifies what Tea Party Conservatives have been saying to our constitutes all along. “Bob Deuell is no Conservative!”  See the article for yourself.

“Mark P. Jones, chair of Rice University’s political science department, has developed rankings of Texas state senators based on their votes during the regular and special sessions this year. According to his analysis, the most conservative senator was Brian Birdwell, R-Granbury, while the most liberal was Rodney Ellis, D-Houston. Bob Deuell, R-Greenville, and Carlos Uresti, D-San Antonio..”
A step further– State Rep Lance Gooden is no Conservative—his greatest contributorin the past session was Steve Mostyn, Democrat Trial Lawyer — and a huge Obama supporter who promotes Socialist ideology daily.

It is time to wake up! Help us spread the word — Let’s elect honest people we can trust. Tell ten neighbors and friends!!!!

It is time to Elect the RIGHT Bob

First Things First: Speaker of the Texas House

Date posted:

By Mary Huls Candidate for Texas House, District 129 www.ElectMaryHuls.com

Mary Huls“What will you do on your first day as a Representative in the Texas House?”  As a grassroots candidate, I get this question all the time.  Will it be an education bill?  File legislation protecting property rights? Or should I do something that would help dig us out of the budget hole the 82nd legislature left us.  As I thought about the question and all of the issues that need addressing, I realized that there was something very important I could do on my first day in office that would be as significant as anything else I would do during the entire session.  With the first order of House business I will oppose Joe Straus and vote for a true conservative for Speaker of the Texas House.

As a citizen lobbyist during the last legislative session, I learned an incredible amount of how things work in Austin.  Shortly, after the Republican victories in 2010 in November, I was looking forward to some downtime for all the campaigning and activism.  You know, watch some football and get ready for the holidays.  However, things didn’t quite work out as planned.

In less than a week, the grassroots started an initiative to ensure that Texas

No Pledge Card for Struas - OUST STRAUS once and for all!!

got a conservative Speaker that reflected the will of the Texas voters.  That meant opposing Straus as the sitting Speaker!  To the tea party grassroots, this was a no brainer.  Straus was first elected to the House in 2005 during a special election.  After just serving 2 terms, with the help of 11 liberal Republicans and the majority of the Democratic House Caucus, he engineered a coup against a fellow Republican Speaker that he had “pledged” to support.  But what I really found amazing was even after the disgraceful way Straus got to the Speakership was the way the majority of the Republicans caved in to the power of the Speaker after just a single session.  We were told he was a “conservative” and had worked for the Reagan Administration.  Do you think for a minute that Ronald Reagan would have put up with anyone who betrayed the Party as he had done?  He claimed to represent both Republicans and Democrats, and in that respect, he told the truth – in the 81st legislature he appointed many Democrats to the most important committees as political payback and he supported Democratic incumbents over Republican challengers by helping their campaigns with fundraising.

Although armed with the truth, we were unable to prevent his re-election as Speaker.   We had asked for a Republican House Caucus secret ballot and were betrayed by Larry Taylor, Caucus Chair and Straus lieutenant.  Most of his supporters claimed a point of personal honor because they signed a “pledge” card.  The very same one he had signed for Craddick before ousting the former Republican Speaker.  Today, no one admits to signing a “pledge” card after daylight we shined on the process.  Straus said that he would not take revenge on the principled conservatives that had voted against him on the House floor.  Yet, many of those same conservatives were “paired” during the redistricting process or had their districts changed.  More importantly, many conservative bills died at the hands of Straus appointed Committee Chairs.  Not to be outdone, Speaker Straus personally killed the Anti-Groping TSA bill written to protect Texans 4th Amendment rights.

But all that is in the past.  The reason that I would cast my first vote against Straus is what lies ahead for Texas.  Facing a predetermined massive budget shortfall, Joe Straus has already stated that “We can’t cut our way to prosperity” meaning that he will be looking to raise revenues either through a State wage tax (against the Texas State Constitution) or through legalized gambling (the family business).  With Straus passing up the chance to get structural budgets reform done in the last session, how can we expect him to take up the challenge in the upcoming session.  This past legislative session saw many of the Republican House members cut their own staff budgets as a show of good faith for spending cuts; the Speaker used the savings to create two more committees.

My opponent has openly declared his support for Straus to continue as the Texas House Speaker (but he also wouldn’t sign a pledge card).   It’s not surprising that the third most liberal Republican member of the House would be an ardent supporter.  Indeed, it is not unusual for moderates to support the Speaker since he has said that he would not support any changes to the status-quo on abortion, his family’s ties to Planned Parenthood, and his most recent endorsement of Mitt Romney.  In my opinion, the most egregious violation is continuing to support liberal challengers to Conservatives.

Rick Santorum~ Economic Freedom Agenda; Mitt Romney wants to tinker at the margins

SANTORUM OP-ED IN WALL STREET JOURNAL OUTLINES BOLD ECONOMIC FREEDOM AGENDA

My Economic Freedom Agenda

We need bold tax reform, but Mitt Romney wants to

tinker at the margins.

America’s budget process is broken. Our economy and American families are struggling, and the country needs bold reforms and major restructuring, not tinkering at the margins. Obamanomics has left one in six Americans in poverty, and one in four children on food stamps. Millions seek jobs and others have given up.

Meanwhile, my opponent in the Republican primaries, Mitt Romney, had a last-minute conversion. Attempting to distract from his record of tax and fee increases as governor of Massachusetts, poor job creation, and aggressive pursuit of earmarks, he now says he wants to follow my lead and lower individual as well as corporate marginal tax rates.

It’s a good start. But it doesn’t go nearly far enough. He says his proposed tax cuts would be revenue neutral and, borrowing the language of Occupy Wall Street, promises the top 1% will pay for the cuts. No pro-growth tax policy there, just more Obama-style class warfare.

By contrast, in my first 100 days as president, I’ll submit to Congress and work to pass a comprehensive pro-growth and pro-family Economic Freedom Agenda. Here are 10 of its main initiatives:

Unleash America’s energy. I’ll approve the Keystone Pipeline for jobs and energy security, and sign an order on day one unleashing America’s domestic energy production, allowing states to choose where they want to explore for oil and natural gas and to set their own regulations for hydrofracking.

Stop job-killing regulation. All Obama administration regulations that have an economic burden over $100 million will be repealed, including the Environmental Protection Agency rule on CO2 emissions that’s already shut down six power plants. I’ll review all regulations, making sure they use sound science and cost benefit analysis.

A pro-growth, pro-family tax policy. I’ll submit to Congress comprehensive tax policies to strengthen opportunity in our country, with only two income tax rates of 10% and 28%. To help families, I’ll triple the personal deduction for children and eliminate the marriage tax penalty.

Restore America’s competitiveness. The corporate tax rate should be halved, to a flat rate of 17.5%. Corporations should be allowed to expense all business equipment and investment. Taxes on corporate earnings repatriated from overseas should be eliminated to bring home manufacturing. I’ll take the lead on tort reform to lower costs to consumers.

Rein in spending. I’ll propose spending cuts of $5 trillion over five years, including cuts for the remainder of fiscal year 2013. I’ll propose budgets that spend less money each year than prior years, and I’ll reduce the nondefense-related federal work force by at least 10%, without replacing them with private contractors.

Repeal and replace ObamaCare. I’ll submit legislation to repeal ObamaCare, and on day one issue an executive order ending related regulatory obligations on the states. I’ll work with Congress to replace ObamaCare with competitive insurance choices to improve quality and limit the costs of health care, while protecting those with uninsurable health conditions. In contrast, Gov. Romney signed into law RomneyCare, which provided the model for ObamaCare. Its best-known feature is its overreaching individual health-care mandate. But it shares over a dozen other similarities with ObamaCare and has given Massachusetts the highest health-care premiums in the nation, and longer waits for health care.

Balance the budget. I’ll submit to Congress a budget that will balance within four years and call on Congress to pass a balanced-budget amendment to the Constitution which limits federal spending to 18% of GDP.

Negotiate and submit free trade agreements. Because many Americans work for companies which export, I’ll initiate negotiations in the first 100 days and submit to Congress five free trade agreements during my first year in office to increase exports.

Reform entitlements. I’ll cut means-tested entitlement programs by 10% across the board, freeze them for four years, and block grant them to states-as I did as the author of welfare reform in 1996. I’ll reform Medicare and Social Security so they are fiscally sustainable for seniors and young people.

* Revive housing. I’ll submit plans to Congress to phase out within several years Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac’s federal housing role, reform and make transparent the Federal Reserve, and allow families whose mortgages are “underwater” to deduct losses from the sale of their home in order to get a fresh start in difficult economic times.

I’ll work with Congress and the American people to once again create an economic environment where hard work is rewarded, equal opportunity exists for all, and families providing for their children can once again be optimistic about their future.

EagleOPS can only be used by candidates that Phyllis Schlafly decides to work with. You will never see EagleOPS being used by more than one candidate in one campaign and Phyllis Schlafly has chosen her candidate; Rick Santorum.

Why is it so important that Eagle OPS only be used by true Conservative Candidates? Because there is to much at risk in the times that we are living in.

Phyllis Schlafly Report

Obama’s War on Religious Liberty by Phyllis Schlafly

Photo Courtsey of Rick Santorum's Facebook wall

Welcome to the real ObamaCare, whereby a handful of leftists in D.C. impose the views of their big-money donors on more than 300 million Americans. If the Obama mandate for contraception remains intact, then liberals will next demand that Americans pay for other objectionable items that are not really medical care.

We can expect future mandates, under the guise of “health care,” to include sex-change operations, late-term abortions, embryonic stem-cell use, and a variety of other procedures that many Americans do not support and certainly do not want to be compelled to foot the bill for. Obama’s mandate for abortifacient drugs opens a slippery slope that would erode the moral authority of religious institutions in America.

Obama and the liberals have overplayed their hand. By baring their teeth, these lackeys for the Left have awakened Democratic voters to the real contempt that liberals hold for religious values.

All 181 U.S. Catholic bishops oppose Obama’s mandate, and Rasmussen polling estimates that 65% of Catholic Americans also oppose it. There are about 75 million American Catholics, most of who have traditionally been Democratic voters but who wouldn’t hesitate to cross party lines to defend their church leaders. Read more here
